Question of the Day: Allegory

An allegory is something used in literature that can be interpreted to disclose a hidden meaning. Animal Farm is a perfect example of an allegory. The animals' revolution is an allegory for the Russian Revolution. I think that an allegory is an effective way to express an idea, because it takes something really complex and turns it into something simple and easy to understand.
