I woke up at 10 to finish some homework to get it out of the way for my weekend. I struggle with my chemistry homework because I didn't really understand the lesson. My friend came over at 3 and we watched "We're the Millers". The trailer was really funny, but the movie itself wasn't as funny as I thought it would be. My friend tuned my guitar and I was amazed by how it different it sounded after. After my friend went home, I took a nap and I got so much more tired after that.
I was playing around on my laptop and I opened Garageband to find a bunch of guitar tutorials. So I decided to actually learn how to play my guitar that I've had for about a year. I learned two chords, E and G, and I struggled to learn the C chord. My fingers really hurt after so I decided to get some rest and help my friend study for the SATs.

Spring Break: Journal #4
I woke up at 9 and made a surprise breakfast for my mom's birthday. I made eggs, bacon, and toast. Her reaction to this surprise was one that I will never forget. My cousins came over so I could baby sit them and we all ate breakfast together. I haven't had bacon in such a long time that I ate so much that I got really sick of the taste.
Around 6, my friends came over for my mom's birthday dinner. We watched TV for a little bit and then we went to Tomi's at Eastridge. We all ate so much that we could hardly breathe after. We walked around Eastridge and we took photo booth pictures. After that, we decided to go see Divergent and it was a really good movie. I haven't seen a movie that late at night for a really long time.

Spring Break: Journal #3
Today, I went to work with my mom. I was really bored and I ended up watching Gossip Girl all day. My mom bought me one of my favorite foods for lunch and that made my day better. I went to The Sweet Corner and I got a strawberry milk tea and a raspberry macaron and a Thai tea for my mom. Everything was so tasty.
After coming home, I just relaxed, watched more Gossip Girl, and talked to my friends on Facebook. I like nights like this because everything just feels so calm. I decided to paint my nails because I missed having color. For the first time ever, I painted my nails purple instead of blue like I always do. It was a weird change but I think it looks alright. Today was a really laid back day and I am excited for tomorrow.

Spring Break: Journal #2
I woke up around 9 so I could baby sit my cousins. We all had Cheerios and milk for breakfast and then they watched TV while I did some of my homework. Around 12 pm, I made pasta for my cousins and I to eat, and it was really good. Then we played a game of Scrabble and then I continued to do more homework and go on Tumblr.
My aunt picked me up around 6 pm and then we went to the library to check out some books. I checked out "The Lord of the Flies" because I hate reading on my computer. Then we met up with my mom and we ate at Sweet Tomatoes. I really like going there because they have so much salad and I love salad. I tried clam chowder with bacon for the first time and it was really good. When I got home, I read the first chapter of "Lord of the Flies" and Skyped with my friends.

Spring Break: Journal #1
On Monday, I woke up around 9 and my mom dropped me off at Amy's house. There I met up with a few friends and we had a "breakfast" party. We made homemade crepes and BLTs and everything tasted really good. Then we had a water balloon fight outside and everyone got really soaked. After we all cleaned up, we made spam musubi and ate ramen while watching The Haunting In Connecticut 2. I thought that the movie was really stupid and wasn't scary at all.
Around 5 pm, my friends and I went to our friend, Taylor's house. We played Super Smash Bros Brawl on the Wii and we also played Wii Sports. I lost in almost every game. :'( Then we decided to watch Paranormal Activity 4 and I thought it was so scary. I didn't get to finish the movie because my mom came to pick me up, but I was glad, because I was scared out of my mind.
I came home, ate dinner, and took a shower. Then I got into bed and started to watch Gossip Girl, but then my feet started to hurt and so I asked my mom to take a look. I found out that I got splinters in my feet from the water balloon fight and so my mom had to take the splinters out and it was really painful.

Gestures & Thoughts
Gestures often help explain one's thoughts. They're used to put emphasis on the actor's emotions. Actors incorporate gestures into their performances by using them while they talk to symbolize the actor's feelings and attitude.

Poetry Slam Reflection
I had never been to a poetry slam, let alone know what a poetry slam was. I was really nervous to present my poem to the class because I was kinda insecure about it not being good enough. After a few people presented, I started to get calmer because I realized that they too were also nervous of presenting to the class. After I presented, I felt like a huge weight got lifted off my shoulders and I just enjoyed the rest of my classmates' poems. Everyone always cheered and they gave constructive criticism. Overall, I enjoyed this poetry slam.
